Welcome to the IAWP California Chapter Website. The IAWP (International Association of Workforce Professionals) formerly named IAPES (International Association of Personnel in Employment Security) is a professional organization for members whose jobs relate to employment security or workforce development systems.

As a professional organization, IAWP focuses on providing its members with the tools to meet the challenges in our ever-changing workplaces.

IAWP is concerned about you and your career.

The benefits of a professional organization are available to you. Membership in IAWP is your way to participate in your own future.

IAWP helps you meet the needs of your customers.

Members Know: IAWP has been the professional association for workforce professionals since 1913. But don't take my word for it. See what other workforce professionals have to say about how IAWP helped advance their careers.

Education and Training: Local training from districts and chapters, the Annual International Conference, the Professional Development Program, scholarships and grants.

Legislative Advocacy and Awareness: With the help of a Washington D.C. liaison, IAWP keeps members informed of legislation affecting the workforce profession.

Useful Information for Workforce Professionals: Workforce Professional is focused on providing readers with practical information they can use in everyday work life. Members receive the newsletter six times per year. IAWPonline.org is streamlined, easy to use, and full of useful content. Check out legislative updates, scholarship applications, IAWP publications, and more. Members may access even more information in the "members only" section of the Web site.

Networking: Interact with members from around the country and around the world.

Inexpensive: It's well worth the money! International, chapter-affiliated membership dues are only $90 per year. EDD employees may receive a discount (ask your recruiter!). Retirees receive an even better discount!
